Sunrise Sportfishing
Howdy y'all, it's Trejan on the Sunrise again. Today we left the harbor at 6am with 20 anglers. Most of the others boats stayed local, but we decided to head up north again today. We traveled about 35 minutes north before we stopped for our first drift. The first drift was wacky because the current was going crazy and we got 0 fish. After our experimental first drift, we caught 3 fish on the second, and 5 on the third. We continued to catch between 1-4 fish a drift with a Lingcod on almost everyone as well. One particularly cool moment, was when a Lingcod followed another Lingcod up and we were able to get both of them. After about 4 hours, we went to go crabbing. It was as good as yesterday, with us getting the same amount of crab. After we rebaited our pots and threw them back out, we finally made our way back to the harbor. We ended with 83 rockfish, 8 Lingcod, and 34 crab. The ocean was a little wavey but there was clear skies all day. Overall, it was a good day for fishing, and a great day to be on the Sunrise.
