Howdy y'all, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today we left the harbor at 6 o'clock and headed north. After traveling for about 20 minutes, we lay our crab pots along the beach. We then traveled another 15 minutes to our first fishing spot. Even though the current was a little wacky today, we still caught 7 fish on our first drift. We proceeded to catch 5 on the second, and 7 again on the third. Then on the fourth drift, we caught 17. We continued to get 10+ fish every drift until we limited out. In total, it took us a little under 2 hours to limit out on rockfish. After that, we went Lingcod fishing. During that time, we caught a few Cabezon that we had to release immediately. We did that for about 2 hours before we had to go crabbing. After we went crabbing, it took us 20 minutes to get back to harbor. Overall, it was a fantastic day fishing, with everyone getting their limits. It was a beautiful day with hardly any swell and a great day to be on the Sunrise.
