Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Rusty

Look where we live, I am just saying we have some great fishing opportunities here below the Davis Dam along the Colorado River. Our local and visiting anglers have been having some success along our shores and our pristine water way.

Our local angler Dave Ensrud landed a nice striper in the Upper Big Bend Area. He was using anchovies for bait while fishing from his boat to land this 9.68-pound striped bass at 29 and 1/2 inches.

While our younger angler Brandon Stark was fishing at rotary park using a trout jig and landed this nice rainbow trout. He was fishing from shore and landed this trout at 16 inches and 1.28 pounds.

Not much word from up on Lake Mohave as of yet. But I am hearing anglers kicking a fuss as the largemouth bass are not biting yet. All I can say nope not yet they are watching the fry and they are still very small which is why dad is protecting them and will not eat for a while. I am taking a guess that the marsh is slow the bass have been on their beds or guarding the fry. This will pick up soon as these fish grow fast and the largemouth bass will be hungry.

Hope this helps some for now and we look forward seeing you in soon to share that catch. Mostly thanks so much for al the support
