Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Rusty

This is a great story our local angler Mike Lamere landed a couple of nice stripers in the 5-pound range. These 2 were 5.76 pounds at 25 and 1/2 inches and 5.12 pounds at 25 and 1/4 inches all while fishing from shore. The neat part Mike was using a lure he had crafted by hand and had painted his self-shown in the picture. The area he was fishing was just below the Community Park Area. I have been getting reports about other stripers being caught up and down the Colorado River here below the Davis Dam. Both anchovies and various swim baits have been bringing in stripers from the 1-pound range up to the 10-pound range. I know there are some of our lager fish out there waiting for you to land and bring in to share the story.

I have been getting word of anglers landing rainbow trout in the Rotary Park Area. This is from the latest stocking and these fish are out of the Hatchery in Colorado. No word from up on Lake Mohave as of yet or the marsh. The Topock Marsh has been slow but should be picking up as the Largemouth bass will be off their beds and should be leaving the fry to fend for themselves soon.

Hope this helps some for now we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and your story. a reminder we are your weigh station and have been for a few years now and are glad to weigh your catch but mostly thanks for all your support
