Kokanee Kokanee Kokanee and more Kokanee

It is pretty simple,""" Kokanee!!!"" These fat fiesty tasty fish are have been on the bite at Whiskeytown. The action is steady, and my clients have been getting lots of hook ups and limits, but as most of you know who have fisted for these guys, they are good at getting off the hook.

The addiction to kokanee is real. Finding the depth and speed, getting them to bite, what is the color and scent, keeping them on the hook, then there is the action and the fight, when they get close to boat, they often go crazy and get off the hook. Frustrating but fun as hell and that is what the addiction is all about.

These fish are fat and are only getting bigger and fatter as we head into summer and then the fall. They are clean and fabulous eating.
