Fish Report for 4-22-2022
Largemouth have been the best bet in the aqueduct
4-22-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Largemouth have been the best bet in the aqueduct with anglers reporting good numbers of quality bass. Drop shot and Senkos cast into eddies and slower moving water was the way to go last week. However, there has been some great topwater action in the mornings. Striper anglers reported good fishing on cut baits, lugworms, and Jumbo live minnows. One local angler reported striper limits while catfishing with chicken liver after check gates. Striper also fell for white and American Shad jerkbaits, Flukes on a jig head, and walking topwater baits. The catfish bite has been excellent with anglers scoring stringers of whiskerfish. Our contacts reported excellent action throughout the duct with dip baits, chicken liver, and cut sardines.
