We arrived at the rocks approx. 10:00 and proceeded to look around. \\\"Dorardo Dave\\\" Van Voorhis promptly stopped the boat with a wahoo jig strike, which unfortunately was to be our only one for the day. After that we happened into a large school of dorado, that kept us busy for a little while. Then it was on to tuna fishing. While we sat on the anchor for the remainder of the day, the tuna bit on a slow steady pace, but accented with yellowtail and dorado mixed in.

10-11-2009We are in the process of traveling down to Alijos rocks. Along our path today we came across a kelp paddy holding some nice size dorado and then later a pod of dolphins that yellowfin tuna were following.
