Copes Tackle and Rod stocked here last week

3-4-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden

Copes Tackle and Rod stocked here last week with a thousand pounds of trophy lightening and rainbow trout. The largest fish reported this week was a Rainbow trout over 12-pounds caught on a Get Bent Bait. There were numerous reports of lightening and rainbow trout over 5-pounds caught this week. Trout have been going for a variety of minijigs, garlic scented Power Bait, garlic scented pinched-crawlers, and spinners. One local angler reported excellent flyfishing out here and score numerous trophy trout with White and Olive Wooly Buggers and zebra midges. The DFWL have a scheduled trout plant here next week. The bass fishing remains fair, and they’ve been coming on drop-shotted soft plastics, jigs, and trout imitation baits.
