Fish Report for 3-4-2022
The lake held near 86 percent of capacity with striper and catfish biting well
3-4-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake held near 86 percent of capacity with striper and catfish biting well. The striper ate sardines, lugworms, and nightcrawlers in the marina, Serrano, and Yellowbar. They also fell for trolled umbrella rigs in 25 feet of water on main lake points. Catfish anglers reported solid fishing while using dip bait, chicken liver, and anchovies. The cats have been biting throughout the lake. Bass anglers reported another tough week, but warmer daytime water temps provided a glimmer of hope. Drop shot, Ned rigs, and shaky heads worked for bites in 15 to 40 feet of water. A few deep diving crankbait fish were also reported. Trout anglers landed fish with the usual line up of minijigs, dough bait, and lures.
