Fish Report for 2-18-2022
Striper remained consistent for bait anglers
2-18-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The water level in Pyramid Lake remained near 85 percent of capacity with water temps in the mid-fifties. Bass action has been on the slow side, but a few highlights included some solid bass taken on large trout imitation swimbaits and crankbaits. Otherwise, bass anglers used finesse baits in 15 to 40 feet of water to land large and smallmouth. Striper remained consistent for bait anglers. Sardines, anchovies, and bloodworms all worked from shore and in deeper water. The marina has been the best bet for bait anglers. Striper also went for Kastmasters, spoons, and trolled umbrella rigs. Catfish ate chicken liver, dip bait, and cut anchovies, and there were reports of massive bluegill holding on submerged humps. They ate redworms on the drop shot
