California Aqueduct Report

1-28-2022
Chad Burton and Chris Borden

A 35-pound striper was reported by one local angler. Congratulations! One of the benefits of fishing the aqueduct is that you always have the potential to hook into a real monster. Cut sardines, anchovies, and jumbo live shiners have all been fooling line sides. Lure anglers used jerkbaits, Flukes, and swimbaits to land striper in the mornings. Some anglers reported success using A-rigs with white and chartreuse trailers. Catfish went for chicken liver, dip bait, and cut baits soaked on the bottom, and bass anglers reported decent fishing while using Senkos, drop shot, and topwater lures.
