Tuesday Recap - Islands Yellowtail & More Bluefin

  • The San Diego ended their Full Day to the Coronado Islands with 5 Yellowtail, 60 Whitefish, 2 Sheephead and 2 Lingcod. Their Yellowtail were in the 22 to 28 pound range!

  • The Tribute finished their 1.5 day trip with 8 Bluefin and 7 Yellowtail for 22 anglers. Captain Buzz mentioned that flyline and the sinker rig were the best methods for all of their fish so far. The Tribute still has availability for their light load 1.5 Day leaving Friday night!

The Tribute returned this morning from a 1.5 Day trip with 68 Yellowtail and 2 Bluefin Tuna for their 30 anglers. Their Bluefin weighed in at 145 and 195 pounds! Captain Mike strongly suggests that you have the appropriate gear for targeting these larger fish, it will greatly increase your chances of landing a fish this size.
