Sunday Recap - Bluefin and Availability

Seaforth Staff

  • The Tribute returned this morning from a 1.5 Day trip with 68 Yellowtail and 2 Bluefin Tuna for their 30 anglers. Their Bluefin weighed in at 145 and 195 pounds! Captain Mike strongly suggests that you have the appropriate gear for targeting these larger fish, it will greatly increase your chances of landing a fish this size. We do have heavier setups available for rent here at the landing if you don't have any heavy gear on hand. The Tribute is headed back out for a 1.5 Day trip tonight and they still have space so don't miss your opportunity to chase some big Bluefin!

  • The New Seaforth had some good Calico bass fishing this afternoon and also got 2 Yellowtail as well! We're still offering both trips AM and PM everyday, provided we have enough anglers to run, so come out for some inshore rockfishing and the opportunity to chase after some local Yellowtail as well!

  • The San Diego ended their Full Day trip with 41 Yellowtail for their 34 anglers. Tomorrow will be their last offshore trip before they head down to the Coronado Islands. They still have plenty of availability for their upcoming Coronado Islands trips and we also would like to remind everyone that if you are looking at going on an upcoming Coronado Islands trip a valid passport or passport card is required. No other type of identification will suffice.
