Fish Report for 11-12-2021
Fall River was good last week
11-12-2021
Fly and Field Outfitters
Fall River was good last week. The fish aren’t very active until mid-morning most days. This week will be a bit warmer to start so we might see a bit more activity. Expect blue wing olives in the early afternoon. Midges on the surface may entice a bite in the morning or later in the afternoon. Despite the lack of large surface bugs, a dry-dropper technique is a great idea, specifically for getting delicate presentations that don’t spook fish. BWO nymphs and midges are the best under the surface. I wish I had something more exciting to say for nymphs but this time of year can be a bit bland given what’s in the drift. A small size 16-18 micro stonefly nymph might get some attention if nothing else is working. Euro-style flies are definitely something good to try out. White, black, and olive streamers get a lot of attention on certain days, target the fish that follows the streamer, they usually take a bit eventually. It seems that this may be the warmest week we see for a while, it’s a great time to get to the Fall.
