Fish Report for 10-15-2021
Castaic held at 28 percent of capacity and fishing has been good
10-15-2021
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Castaic held at 28 percent of capacity and fishing has been good. Bass anglers reported solid fishing using finesse plastics and reaction baits. Senkos, drop shot and Carolina rigs continued to get bite last week with anglers reporting main lake points and bluffs as the preferred spots to fish. Anglers have been fishing the finesse baits until the heavy winds pick up. After that it’s been all about reaction baits. Jerkbaits and crankbaits have been working near wind swept points for both bass and striper in the strong winds. Striper have also been going for trolled umbrella rigs and flies. Catfish were reported on cut sardines, dip bait, and chicken liver in deeper coves around the lake.
