Fish Report for 10-15-2021
The striper action continues
10-15-2021
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The striper action continued last week with reports of better grade fish. Shad have been showing on the surface in the mornings and evenings, and walking baits, poppers, and Whopper Ploppers all worked for bites. However, most of the lure biting striper were reported by anglers throwing flukes and jerkbaits near the control gates. Bait anglers reported a good bite using cut anchovies, sardines, and jumbo live minnows soaked on the bottom. Largemouth bass have been showing early and late in the day, with Baby Bass and Green Pumpkin Senkos still getting bite. Fish for bass around the grates and in the slower water. The catfish ate chicken liver, cut baits, and dip bait.
