With the wife out of town for the weekend, I decided to run down to SEA LANDING and get out for a 3/4 day trip aboard the STARDUST for some rockfishing at Santa Rosa Island. I was greeted by Capt Luke, Deckhands Sal and Dane and galley chef Casey. We had a total of 26 anglers for the day, Capt Luke gave a safety briefing and Sal conducted a class on rockfishing for all the new anglers on board. There were 10 new to saltwater fishing anglers aboard and Sal\'s briefing made sure they were ready when we had our first stop. The fishing was tough today, but we managed to scratch out near limits for everyone, with some nice vermillion\'s and copper rockfish for everyone\'s bags.

SFR would like to congratulate galley Chef Casey Vaccarezza for being selected as serving on of the best burgers in Santa Barbara county by the Santa Barbara News Press.
