What better way to celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day next Saturday, September 25, than by taking your kids chukar hunting! The youth chukar hunt begins on September 25 and ends on October 3, and the chukar season opens statewide on October 9.

NDOW released the annual Chukar Forecast early to help you prepare for your hunts! This report is intended to provide upland game hunters with general information on chukar productivity in various areas, thereby offering suggestions of more promising mountain ranges to hunt. Download the Chukar Forecast here.

Thank you for supporting Nevada's wildlife and have fun out there!
