EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR

Cool nighttime temperatures are slowing down the aquatic vegetation and it should be clearing up soon. Crappies have been jigs and plastics. Trout and bass are hitting spinners and night crawlers.

ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR

The trout bite is improving with overnight temperatures starting to drop. Anglers are starting in the morning for trout and fishing throughout the day for bass and crappies. The bass and crappies are hitting spinning lures and plastics.

LAKE MEAD

Stripers are biting at dawn and dusk. Hard shad plastics are taking hits seconds after they are thrown into a boil. Black bass fishing is very slow, but a few anglers have had luck around Callville Bay with spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. Anglers targeting catfish and carp near Hemenway are succeeding with anchovies and corn beginning in the late afternoon.

LAKE MOHAVE/WILLOW BEACH

Willow Beach stripers in the 10-pound range are hitting trolled swimbaits. On the lake, black bass are showing a preference for soft plastic grubs, craws, and worms in green pumpkin. The bite is hit and miss but expected to pick up as the seasons change in the coming weeks. Striped bass have been caught at depths between 40 and 60 feet near Davis Dam.

LAUGHLIN

Anglers are catching stripers weighing between 1 and 6 pounds in shallow water along the shoreline of the river. Trout-patterned lures, especially jerkbaits, are tempting the fish. Frozen anchovies are a reliable choice as well. Anglers are experimenting with both hard and soft plastics to fool smallies near Laughlin Lagoon.

 WAYNE E. KIRCH WMA

On Dacey Reservoir, trout have been taking a variety of spinners and spoons. Adams-McGill continues to be steady for bass despite seasonal weed growth. Bass are hitting plastics and Woolly Buggers. With dove season underway, visitors can get in a morning or afternoon dove hunt with a fishing outing in between.

URBAN PONDS

Fishing has been good overall at the ponds for bluegill, bass, and catfish. The best action continues to be in the morning and at sunset. Catfish are taking worms, hotdog pieces, and stink baits. Bluegill are taking worm pieces and PowerBait grubs. Bass are hitting on Rat-L-Traps and plastics.
