Fish Report for 8-17-2021
Smoke is a factor but the river continues to fish well

The Fly Shop
Smoke is a factor in the drainage, some days it has been quite bad. However, the river continues to fish well. Just keep your thermometer handy and quit when the water temps go north of 65 degrees. The fish will be found in frothy water and pockets, this is perfect Euronymph water. The Olive Hot Spot, Rubberlegs, and small black Baetis offerings are working well. Evening caddis hatches are pretty common, fish Bird's Nests and Poopahs in the day as well, swing soft hackles in the evening and tie on a Missing Link or Elk Hair Caddis when the fish are finally coming up top.
