Klamath River Report
8-17-2021
The Fly Shop
Fires in and around the Trinity Alps are causing a lot of smoke in the mid to upper river sections. Keep an eye out for highway closures if you are headed to The Klamath, on the coast or up on the top end. There are some reports of adult steelhead and kings entering the lower system in the past week. The numbers should continue to build over the coming weeks. These fish will boogie up to the cold seeps and hold. The half pounders should be showing up in force soon. With the river temps in the 70s make sure to play your fish quickly, keep them in the water and unhook them as soon as you can!
