The Fall River Has Been Fishing Well
6-18-2021
Fly and Field Outfitters
The Fall River has been fishing well. The predominant hatches have been pale morning duns and caddis. Blue wing olives can make an appearance on cool cloudy days but don’t expect large hatches. Smaller stoneflies can be found here and there. Terrestrial patterns can work well as a searching pattern. Nymping is fairly consistent with midges and small mayfly nymphs. Larger nymphs typically don’t catch nearly as many fish as the small ones. Toss both onto the same rig, the large nymph helps get the rig further down and can attract fish to your smaller nymph. It’s no secret that the Fall River can get crowded, find the spots that are hard to get to and you’ll be rewarded for it.
