DON'T FORGET SUNDAY IS FATHERS DAY. A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE DAD'S DAY, TAKE HIM FISHING.

Temperatures in the low 90's today look for cooling just a little during the weekend and throughout next week. Water is currently 62 degrees at the 20 foot mark and 65 degrees at surface in the Marina. Water visibility is good to 18 feet. Current water level is still high, within a foot or two of spill and steady.

BANK FISHING ---- Talked to some fishermen on Tom Sawyer Island this morning, things are a little slow but will pick up for sure after the plant. The most popular spots today are Rainbow Point, Stony Point landing, Jackson Creek spillway, and the bank behind the EBMUD boathouse. Using clear bobbers with power bait suspended 3 to 6 feet below continues to be successful while others continue to use the sliding sinker setup. Silver/blue Kastmasters and black woolly buggers are very successful right after a plant. White power eggs, maggots and power worms are the best sellers at the Marina, with night crawlers and yellow power bait also popular. Chartreuse power bait with sparkles is also very effective.

TROLLERS----Trolling has been good again this week, The Marina reports most all boats return with mixed limits and are back in by early afternoon. Today boats are working the Narrows, Mel's cove and right in front of the Rock Wall about 500 yards inside the river Mouth. Trout have remained at 20 to 30 feet but the Kokanee are deeper still at 40 to 60 feet. The Kokanee are not as plentiful as trout and most are in the 8" to 11" range with an occasional larger buck to 15 inches. Equipment and bait the same, orange hoochies, bugs, sling blades or flashers tipped with a partial night crawler, small spoons or spinners, Uncle Larry's copper popper, pinkie or tiger behind a smaller Sep's silver, watermelon or silver/green dodger.

CATFISH----Cats are starting to bite all along the eastern shore of the Lake. Smelly Chicken livers are the hands down favorite.

RECENT SUCCESS STORIES- Andrew Nishikawa of Sacramento this nice 8.75 lb limit of Rainbow Trout off Rainbow Point. "Catfish" Lou a long time Pardee Resident and avid fisherman got this large 6.57 lb rainbow trolling in Sheneen's Cove pulling silver flashers and a night crawler. Well done-congratulations to all!

To date 58,000 lbs of good size Trout have been planted by Lake Pardee Inc. and the California Department of Fish and Game with another plant scheduled for the near future.
