Cabo San Lucas Fish Report- The Gaviota Sportfishing Fleet and Fish Cabo Fleet
6-4-2009
Larry Edwards
Just another very difficult week in Cabo San Lucas, with very few
anglers and boats to report for and adding a little more difficulty
to the situation was the tough fishing for the week. We had a report
this morning that some of the owners, (none of ours) are pulling the
boats from the water and parking them for better days to come. The
combined total fish report for the Gaviota & Fish Cabo Fleets
reflected 14 fishing days that produced 3 stripers and 2 dorado.
Cabo Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 72 nights to 98
daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Getting cool enough to catch a salmon on the Pacific
side; down to 60 degrees inshore & rising slowly to 68 offshore.
From Cabo to the "95", on to the "1150" and on to the Cabrillo
Seamount, temps from 80-81 degrees and stable.
Best Fishing Area: Has been on a line from the 95 to the 1150 and
beyond. Baiting many fish but very few biters.
Best Bait/Lure: Live bait has been a must and finding the right fish
to bite has been for the lucky few.
Live Bait Supply: Good, mostly caballitos.
