Klamath Steely Snow fishing

Mother Nature decided it would be Winter again and put it to us, but we won the Klamath Steelhead battle before the cold took over- Caldwellfishing.com #procurebaitscents #garlic #maglips
We definitely had an excuse for being the only boat on the water yesterday. About an hour or so into our trip it began to snow and it did not stop until we got off the river about 3pm. Yes, it was cold but Adam and Emily were seriously tough fisherman. They came to fish and fish they did catching and releasing 10 beautiful Klamath Steelies in the 16 to 24 inch class. These Steelies were caught while slowly back trolling 3.0 maglips lathered in Pro-Cure garlic gel.
The water is very cold now and the fish are in various stages of spawn mode. This means go back troll slow and then slower and then hit them on head haha.
Winter Steelheading will continue on Klamath for the next couple of months Of more. Of course this always depends on the weather.

I am now booking fishing trips for March April and May on Shasta, Siskiyou and McCloud and few other lakes. These are mostly trout trips but I do have bass and crappie options as well.
