Crooked River Report

1-19-2021
Fly and Field Outfitters

The Crooked has been fishing good this last week or so. Having talked to a few guys here in the shop it's been mostly nymphing with small midge and mayfly patterns. The hatch hasn't been crazy good but on some of the warmer days look for them to pop just around 2-3pm. The flows are consistent and have been right around 47 cfs for the last few months. The crowds have been way down as people are spreading out for steelhead and up to the mountain. Weather looks decent with a little snow in the forecast for later this week. BWO’s love weather and the fish don't care cause they are already wet so I would expect some good fishing to come of it!

Suggested Dries: BWO Hackle Stacker #18-20, Extended Body BWO #18-20, Brewers Butt Head #18-22, Nunya Midge #18-24, Purple Haze #18-22.

Suggested Nymphs: Blue Lighting Bug #16-18, Juju Baetis purple or black #18-22, Two Bit Hooker black or Red #16-20, Duracell Jig #14-16.
