THE LAKE IS OPEN!
The new stay at home order has frozen camping reservations through March 1st, but the lake will still be open for boating, fishing and picnicking with members of your shared household.
There is no gathering or boating with anyone outside your household permitted.
Please remember to wear your masks, social distance, and be patient with staff/other visitors.
For more information click HERE.
  • Stocking:  Another 1,500 lbs. of trout was added to the lake last week. The next stocking will be the week of January 11th bringing our total stock to 8,500 lbs. Stocking will be biweekly throughout the season to reach a total of 19,000 lbs.
  • What's the catch? Trout were biting on Hookup Bait and Powerbait Turbo Dough this weekend. Limits were pulled out of Hermit and Eagle Cove. It was a good weekend for catfish as well. They were biting on nightcrawlers and mackerel in Shadow and Cloister Cove. Anglers reported that the bass were biting along the buoy line near the tower using power worms and shiners.
  • Limits: Please be aware that there is a limit of 5 trout per person as mandated by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
  • New Moon Fishing: Night fishing is back! Join us on Thursday, January 14th from 3:00 - 9:30 p.m. for night fishing. Boat launches and rentals will be available. Full sized lanterns are required after 5:00 p.m.
  • MLK Jr. Day: On Monday, January 18th, the lake will be open for fishing and boating from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • We've adjusted our fishing, boating, and camping fees to help offset the extra staff and sanitation required to keep our visitors safe. For more information about the new fees, please click HERE.
  • Conditions: The current water temperature is 67 degrees. For an updated weather report in Lakeside this weekend, click HERE.
  • We're HIRING! We're looking for a Volunteer Park Host or two to live and work in our campground. Exchange a minimum of 20 hours of labor per week (including weekends and holidays) for a campsite with water, sewer, and electricity. For more information, click HERE.
  • We love receiving pictures from our fishermen and campers! If you have a picture to share, please send it to ranger@lakejennings.org and we may feature it in our newsletter or social media pages.
