December 30, 2020, COVID Update: We have received many calls from concerned customers regarding their fishing trips. We are OPEN and will be running all trips as scheduled. Our fleet is doing everything they can to ensure that we observe all safety protocols to provide the safest environment possible for your fishing trip.

The Dolphin AM caught 56 Rockfish and 1 Lingcod for 21 anglers.

The Dolphin PM caught 58 Rockfish, 14 Sheephead, 5 Sculpin, and 1 Sandbass for 30 anglers.

The Shogun on day 2 of a five day trip reported excellent fishing for bluefin tuna. They report fish 70-270lbs. with the majority weighing 110-180lbs. They are fishing approximately 130 miles from San Diego.

The Dolphin AM trip caught 41 Rockfish, 1 Sheep Head, 2 Calico Bass, and 2 Sculpin for 15 anglers.

The Dolphin PM trip caught 14 Rockfish, 1 Sand Bass, 4 Sheep Head, and 2 Sculpin for 11 anglers.

The Dolphin PM trip caught 28 Rockfish, 2 Sand Bass, 2 Sheep Head, 5 Whitefish, 3 Calico Bass, and 4 Sculpin for 28 anglers.

12/27/2020
The Dolphin AM trip caught 6 Sheephead, 30 Rockfish, and 25 Whitefish for 40 anglers. 

The Dolphin PM trip caught 4 Sheephead, 30 Rockfish, and 32 Whitefish for 19 anglers. 
 

Boats are recommending 25-pound outfits for the Yellowfin and Yellowtail. 40 to 60-pound outfits for mid-size Bluefin Tuna. 80 to 100-pound outfits for the bigger size Bluefin.

• Hook size, they are recommending number 1 to 2/0 size circle hooks.  They are catching the Bluefin on fly-line rigs, sinkers-rigs, and flat fall jigs.

As of right now, all passengers must bring a face mask on all trips. Passengers on Overnight trips and longer need to bring their own pillow and blankets. The crews will be cleaning and sanitizing all common areas frequently
