Lower Deschutes River Report

Fly and Field Outfitters
Stay above the White River when deciding to head to the Lower Deschutes. The day stretch all the way to Maupin is amazing with the dry dropper situation. 3-foot droppers are a must in Flouro to a jigged Prince nymph or anything with some CDC. Trout are transitioning to the back eddies, and slower riffles to start conserving energy for winter, so switching up your tactics to fishing slower, deeper water will help any angler pursuing trout. Steelhead has been a gracious year for us, and we continue to be grateful for the time spent targeting these amazing fish. Take the time to stop in at the shop, and we would love to discuss all the possibilities going after these fish in the coming weeks.
