East Lake and Paulina Update

10-6-2020
Fly and Field Outfitters

East Lake, the water is low and can be troublesomely launching a boat, that being said working the shoreline, or bringing a float tube can be effective. The kokanee are going to start making their way to the shallows to spawn and the trout will be cruising behind them, and it is always a great time to be fishing East Lake. It can be a rollercoaster ride of good days up there, but we have been hearing from our diehard lake anglers from the shop that there are fish to be caught! Fish Paulina around the coves and tree line. You can utilize some of the same tactics you use across the cascade lakes including dry dropper, under an indicator with a balanced leech, or stripping streamers for big feisty trout.
