- Stocking: Stay tuned for information regarding trout season! Keep your eyes peeled for the Season Opener. We will be posting the stocking schedule and event details in the coming weeks.
- What's the catch? It was a warm weekend, but the fish were biting. Reports were that the bass bite was strong in Cloister Cove and around the t-dock. Anglers were using drop shot with plastic worms. Redear sunfish were pulled out of Half Moon Cove on waxworms. Catfish were caught in Sentry and Shadow Coves (early morning) and Siesta Cove. Cut mackerel is still doing the trick. As the water temperatures drop, catfish will be actively feeding to bulk up for winter. Take advantage of opportunistic feeders during Friday Night Fishing!
- Check out all of our upcoming EVENTS at the lake and campground!
- Friday Night Fishing: If you keep coming, we will keep staying open late. For now, every Friday night from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. the lake is open for night fishing, boating and evening picnicking. Remember, full sized lanterns are required after 8:00 p.m. and the lake entrance gate closes at 10:00 p.m.
- Be mindful of vegetation along our shorelines. The lake waterline has dropped about 10 feet the last couple of months and there is underlying vegetation that will get caught up in your motors and anchors if you're not careful.
- Eagle Report: The eagle has landed! Sightings of a bald eagle were reported this week during Friday Night Fishing. Most of the time, you can spot them in Eagle Cove, hence the name, or the eagle tree just east of the t-dock, but they've also been seen in the trees on the campground road. The eagles will typically migrate from the northwestern states in the fall to winter in southern California. They also prefer when we stock the lake with trout! Can you blame them?

- Campground News: Summer is over and long term campsites are available! We have full and partial hookups available and some even have a view of the lake! If you would like to know long term availability or have questions, please call (619) 596-1333.
- Winners! Congratulations to Tiffany Cobian & company for winning the top prize in our campground decorating contest during the first weekend of Spooky Camp-O-Ween. More fun to come!
- Super Site: Formerly our group area, the super site sits at the highest point in the campground with unobstructed views of the lake and city. There is parking for up to three vehicles, a fire ring, picnic tables, lots of tree shade, and a partially enclosed pavilion with electrical power. Tents only please. The Super Site is $79 Sunday-Thursday and $99 Friday and Saturday. To book the Super Site click HERE!
