  • Stocking: The lake has been stocked with a total of 5,000 pounds of catfish this summer. The last catfish stocking was the week of September 7th. Stay tuned for information regarding trout season!

  • What's the catch? Bass seem to be everywhere! Fishermen reeled in some bass near the boat dock on nightcrawlers. Others were productive in Shadow Cove using shiners and on the shoreline over in Eagle Cove. Try your luck using roboworms and kastmaster lures. Catfish season is definitely not over. Limits of catfish were pulled out along the banks of Half Moon Cove and Cloister Cove this past weekend. Chicken liver, mackerel, and garlic night crawlers were the baits of choice. Bluegill are hanging out in the reeds along Siesta Point and Half Moon Cove. Meal worms and wax worms continue to do the trick. As the water temperature begins to cool expect the fish to become more active this fall!

  •  Check out all of our upcoming EVENTS at the lake and campground!

  • Friday Night Fishing: If you keep coming, we will keep staying open late. For now, every Friday night from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. the lake is open for night fishing, boating and evening picnicking. Remember, full sized lanterns are required after 8:00 p.m. and the lake entrance gate closes at 10:00 p.m.

  • Be mindful of vegetation along our shorelines. The lake waterline has dropped about 10 feet the last couple of months and there is underlying vegetation that will get caught up in your motor if you're not careful.

  • Campground News: Summer is over and long term campsites are available! We have full and partial hookups available and some even have a view of the lake! If you would like to know long term availability or have questions, please call (619) 596-1333.

  • Help Wanted!  We are hiring a part-time Assistant Recreation Ranger to work in our bait shop and provide exemplary customer service. The Assistant Recreation Ranger helps maintain the cleanliness and security of the lake and surrounding areas, as well as answers questions regarding fishing and lake regulations, assists in selling fishing permits, bait, and tackle to customers.
