Royal Polaris Update 03-23-2007

Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone, our weather changed a bit, but it's still beautiful out here. We didn't have the hot and heavy action today, but it was still a good day. We picked away at the Wahoo on the anchor, still not very productive on the troll. The Yellowfin fishing was on the fair side. Most of the fish were in the 120 to 160 range, with two going over the 200 pound mark. Lucky angler today was James Townsend of Concord. James was on the kite when this massive fish inhaled his flyer. The battle would be a long one, going over the hour mark. But in the end James would be the victor, and this would be his personal best. The fish would tape out to 260 pounds (est wt). This is James first long-range trip aboard the Royal Polaris. The heartbreak of the day was Bill Taylor. Bill would fight this giant to color, when the fish would win the battle, living to fight another day. Everyone is talking about what a trip, and still having 4 full days of fishing left. We are now trying to catch our flying fish, but with the moon out, it's a bit tough. So until tomorrow, we wish you the best in long-range sport fishing.

The R/p crew.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
