The ocean was a bit cranky today due to plenty of wind and a building swell. Inspire of the conditions being marginal the fish bit well. Good counts on Rockfish and a few Ling Cod. Crabbing was excellent.

Coho fishing started off with gusto, a 19 pound Chinook and a great grade of Coho hit the deck. The ocean was cranky offshore making the conditions difficult to fish. We had a number of drive bys that were on and gone, several Coho with one fin too many and that pretty well sums up the trip.

Reports from commercial boats put Tuna way out of range.

ODFW announced a change in bag limits and species retention. Effective 7-20-20 the Rockfish bag limit has been raised to 7 per person per day from the previous 5. Retention of any of the nearshore complex of Copper, Quillback and China Rockfish is now zero.
