Stampede Reservoir Fishing Report
8-3-2020
James Netzel
Today started off as a crawl. Think we fished an hour before we got a bite. Then it picked up a bit to where we had about a dozen by 9am. Then the screen went dead!!! For way too long. I figured we got the full moon plague but then I moved shallower and brought em up from 80/90 down to 40/50 and moved into shallower water. Bam!!! Kaboom!!!! Fish were stacked from top to bottom. Bite went absolutely crazy. Problem was that this also attracted attention and soon we were not alone. We finished at 11:30 with limits and headed in. Paulina Peak Tackle watermelon spinner and watermelon hoochie was tops today behind peak performer dodgers trolled .8 mph. Found some gooders to over 16” today along with a bunch of 12”ers.
