Bottom Fishing is Going Strong

Dockside Charters Staff

When the Dockside Fleet hit the water today the conditions were decent, not much swell and not much wind. As the day went by the conditions began to deteriorate as the wind built and pushed up quite a bit of chop.

The Salmon fishing boats did get fish and some other action on fish that couldn't be kept but slow would be a good descriptive word.

The bottom fishing boats on the other hand did very well on both the AM and PM trips. Rockfish limits and good numbers of Lings in the morning, just a few lings in the afternoon. The afternoon Rockfish bite was awesome in spite of the wind and chop.

The Ling Cod on the other hand were snapping like mad. Nearly everyone that put in the effort limited on Lings. The wind and swell mellowed out as the day went on making afternoon trips enjoyable. The Rockfish bit much better in the afternoon producing...... Read More
