He Put The Light In Light Tackle!

Dockside Charters Staff

We have been blessed with some incredibly nice weather here in sunny downtown Depoe Bay for several days now. The long range forecast is looking good for the next week. Now would be a great time to get out for some fishing. We have space available for a Long Leader trip Wednesday. Our Long Leader trip last Saturday was as good as it gets. Limits of big Rockfish (Long Leader trips are a ten Rockfish limit) and crew fish too, plus good crabbing.

We have space available for All-Depth Halibut on Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th, possibly the best weather days you could have for Offshore Halibut fishing. Call us to get your spot.

After a couple days of slow fishing for inshore Rockfish and Lings the bite exploded today on the Rockfish. We finished up on Rockfish in short order then spent the rest of the time looking for Ling Cod. The Ling Cod remained elusive. A few were taken but nowhere near limits. Crabbing continues to be very good.

Coho fishing remains slow on keepers but the action has been fairly good.

There have been two more additions to the All-Depth Halibut openers. July 16-18 and July 30-Aug 1. Get your name in the hat early, we have had really good results with fish for all fishermen and a very good grade at that.

The Dockside Fleet had a really good day on the water. Bottom fishing trips produced limit catches of a nice grade of Rockfish and many Cabezon hitting the fillet tables too. Crabbing produced very well, they are really begin to come in big numbers.  Coho salmon fishing produced good action but few keepers. It seems the bulk of them were OFTMs (one fin too many). We had one boat out for a Long Leader trip. The conditions offshore and the fishing were...... Read More
