July 1, 2020, COVID Update: We have received many calls from concerned customers regarding their fishing trips. We are OPEN and will be running all trips as scheduled. Our fleet is doing everything they can to ensure that we observe all safety protocols to provide the safest environment possible for your fishing trip.
7/05/2020
The Pacific Queen called in with 21 Bluefin Tuna 16 at 120 to 220 pounds and 5 Bluefin at 30 pounds and 1 Yellowfin for 33 anglers on their Overnight trip.
The Liberty called in with 5 Yellowtail, 45 Calico Bass, 47 Barracuda, 83 White Fish, 2 Rock Fish.
The Bight called in with 2 Bluefin (up to 250 lbs) early on their full day offshore trip for 4 anglers. They are seeing excellent signs of fish.
The Royal Polaris called in at 9:30 this morning with 6 Bluefin at 90lbs, and 4 yellowfin on their 1.5 day trip.
The Pacific Queen called in this AM with 3 Bluefin on deck 130-180 lbs. on their 1.5 day trip.
Bight Sportfishing returned last evening from a full day trip with 3 Bluefin, 1@ 130lbs, 1@ 146lbs., and 1@ 163lbs.
The Excel returned this AM from a 1.5 day trip with 6 bluefin 140-240lbs
The Shogun returned this AM with 53 Bluefin, 5 all over 100 pounds. They are with 1-day range
The Outrider returned this AM with 5 Bluefin Tuna (150#) on their 1.5-day trip.
The Tomahawk returned this AM with 1 Bluefin (90#), 9 Yellowtail, 1 Yellowfin (33#), on their 1.5 day trip.
The Pegasus returned this AM with 7 Bluefin 1 at 340lbs, 6 at 120-140 lbs.on their 1.5 day trip.
The Condor returned this AM with 53 Yellowtail, 2 bluefin 100-140 lbs. on their 1.5-day trip.
7/04/2020
The Dolphin PM trip caught 31 Rockfish, 9 Sand Bass, 2 Calico Bass, and 5 Sculpin for 38 anglers.
The Dolphin AM trip caught 59 Rockfish for 40 anglers.
The LIberty finished with 6 Yellowtail, 55 Calico Bass 75 Whitefish, 25 Barracuda, 4 Bonito, and 15 Rockfish for 32 anglers. The Liberty will be fishing offshore starting July 6th. They will be targeting Bluefin, Yellowfin, and Yellowtail.
Boats are recommending 25-pound outfits for the Yellowfin and Yellowtail. 40 to 60-pound outfits for mid-size Bluefin Tuna. 80 to 100-pound outfits for the bigger size Bluefin.
- Hook size, they are recommending number 1 to 2/0 size circle hooks. They are catching the Bluefin on fly-line rigs, sinkers-rigs, and flat fall jigs.
As of right now, all passengers must bring a face mask on all trips. Passengers on Overnight trips and longer need to bring their own pillow and blankets. The crews will be cleaning and sanitizing all common areas frequently
