Hey hey everybody.  Trust everyone had a good winter and spring as could be expected with all the health issues, restrictions, etc., etc.  We are all here in Gold Beach since the end of April and have been working on boats, tackle and gear for the up coming season and they are ready!!!  We will start on the 20th of May with bottom fish with halibut the 21st.  Due to the COVID 19 issues we will be operating with some new rules and procedures as per government agencies.  Please refer to our website and/or sheets at the office.  As in past years you can call to book trips and/or go online  to book directly.  Motels and restaurants are all opening up these next few days to accommodate  your trip.

Now for a FISHING REPORT:  River salmon has been very slow through April and early May.  Heavy rain raised the river two feet last Wednesday.  Fishing and catching picked up if you wanted to deal with the moss which was just short of not being worth the effort.  Since then the river is back to low and clear and a scratch bite as well.  We did run a commercial trips last week to the ocean for fair to good Lingcod and rock fish with even a halibut that had to release (bummer).  So it's happening when ocean conditions permit, same old story!!!  As for future reports an update in our computer was not workable with the old system.  Fish Reports like we used to be able to do will not work.  We will offer reports on occasion when news worthy for $15.00 a year subscription.  Please call or email with info if you want to subscribe.  We look forward to seeing old and new customers this year and hope to see you soon.
