Santee Lakes Staff
Hello everyone and welcome back, I hope you all have been safe and are staying healthy. Santee Lakes will now be open for fishing from 9 am to 5 pm daily pending we have not hit capacity for the day. Be sure to purchase your fishing permit from the gatehouse before you begin fishing. The front entrance will be for vehicle entry only and walk-ins will be accepted at the Lake Canyon entrance. The bass have been biting on various soft plastics but the more popular baits have been flukes and swimbaits. Mike caught this largemouth on a fluke out of Lake 2. The catfish have been biting on nighcrawlers and shrimp mostly out of Lakes 3 and 4.
