The fishing has been absolutely fantastic since the last stocking of 4500 lbs with the average fish weighing in at 3.5 lbs. If you haven't come out to fish?Ķyou are missing some great action. Most anglers are getting their limits within a few hours. The fish have moved from the flats to deeper water due to the warm weather. The best fishing spots have been in front of the dock (middle of the lake) from a boat, trolling down by the dam, and on the shore from the concession building to the point. The best baits to use have been nightcrawlers inflated with garlic oil, power bait in orange, chartreuse, yellow, and rainbow, trolling with a tiger Norman, and rapala firetiger.

Notables:
*Walley Korbler, 5 yrs, had a nice 5 fish limit trolling from the middle of the lake towards the dam.

*Dale McElfresh from Glendale had his limit within two hours. He was using trout traps. He also caught & released 20 largemouth bass 3-4lbs.

*Usman Vahad caught a nice 5 lber using chartreuse powerbait next to the concession building.

* Bob & Justin Reichart had a nice 14 lb string with a total of 7 fish within four hours from a boat by the bubble hole. They were using castmasters, nightcrawlers, and chartreuse & orange powerbait.

* Steve Lee & daughter Briana had a double limit while trolling with a rapala cd-7 firetiger.


Bass:
The bass have moved to the shallows for pre-spawn. Night crawlers and lures have been working well.

Fly fishing has been awesome down in the flats & especially over by three pipes.?? Olive with a gold bead, the Zebra and black with red midges has been working best.
