Largemouth Bass
Ryan Smith of Santa Barbara caught 8 Crappies averaging about a pound, trolling a Rapala shad rap near the Tecolote tunnel intake. And picked up this one largemouth as well.

Bass, crappie and catfish are the best catches again. Most bass were caught with lures or drop shots using Yamamotos set up on a drop shot. The popular lures are Zara spooks, s wavers and flicker shads. Bass are still at the wall with catfish by the dam. We’re still over 70% water capacity, well above the spillway, so no trout plants are scheduled. The fishing derby is coming up in April.
