Cachuma Lake Staff
Bass and catfish continue to be what’s biting. Most bass were caught with lures or drop shots using Yamamotos and Roboworms. The popular lures are Rapalas, S Wavers and Flicker Shads. Trolling has been successful, especially by the wall. We’re still over 70 % capacity, well above the spill way so no trout plants are scheduled.

Bass Bite is Excellent Around the Lake
Cachuma LakeThe bass bite is excellent all around the lake, on and off the shore. Those willing to share said they used Robo worms and mondo worms. A sunfish was caught just past the buoys. A catfish was caught on magic bait close to the dam. The trout continue to be a challenge with only a few being caught since the lake turned over.
