Cold bite looms over snowy Trinity peaks

Well, three trips on the Trinity River with only a handful of bites each trip has guides and anglers who fish the Trinity scratching their heads.  We've had some rain after the previous weeks fishing, but it didnt set the bite on fire at all.  Captain Justins crew went 2 for 4 today and all the bites came at the end of the drift.  That either means we just missed a new push of steelhead or there just arent the numbers of steelhead we should be seeing rt now.  Either way, we'll find out soon enough.  Its still worth the trip, but we're hoping to see a new batch of fish push up soon.  Its been a predominately wild run of fish the past few months which has raised many questions this year.  Where did all the hatchery fish go?  Maybe they are just late like several other runs this year.  We'll see,,,,
