Weekly Fish Report- For Thanksgiving Holiday
11-30-2008
Pete Hills
Surprisingly, the holiday anglers were light this year, and although we started out the holiday week with a slight to medium rainfall, things cleared up on Thanksgiving Day. There were still plenty of yellowfin outside and great yellowtail bite at the 240. Mentionables were Tom, Sean and Floyd Roney from the Hesperia area along with with Jim Molino from Hemet who fished three days with us. Their first day was a little rough due to the weather conditions with only reds and white fish being brought onboard, but they made up for it on the 2nd and 3rd day with 15 yellowtail per day, averaging 20 lbs at the 240 spot. All the yellowfin and albacore brought in this weekend by other boats were plentiful but only averaging 10 to 12 lbs.
Our anglers have promised pictures via email in the next few days or so.

If you can find a paddy in the same area, you can find some great yellowtail and dorado. Boats were heading south this morning head to Socorro in hopes of finding the elusive white seabass. Frank Ballard brought a group...... Read More
