Pedro's Pangas Fishing Report

10-2-2008
Pete Hills

This fish report is from Pete Hillis reporting out of Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja Mexico for the week ending October 2, 2008.

Tuna, Tuna, Tuna ! ! ! The yellowfin tuna are wide open down here. All boats went tuna fishing making easy limits in the 25 to 35 lb range. Only one boat went bottom fishing the entire week and they loaded up on large rock cock and lings.

Weather has been great - none of our famous San Quintin winds have been felt. Temperatures are pretty much like So. California - extremely hot.

Thanks.

Large chrome chrocs seem to be the ticket. Wire leaders are recommended due to the log-type barracuda. The bite has been 2 to 3 log barracuda for each yellowtail or white seabass. Fish are schooling...... Read More
