Pedro's Pangas Fishing Report

9-13-2008
Pete Hills

I am in the U.S. now but I talk to one of my captains, Hector, daily. There have been no reports of rain or bad weather in San Quintin. The white seabass and yellowtail bite is still going strong. Large chrome chrocs seem to be the ticket. Wire leaders are recommended due to the log-type barracuda. The bite has been 2 to 3 log barracuda for each yellowtail or white seabass. Fish are schooling south between the point and Socorro, different spots, different days. Rock cod bite at the 240 and 15 fathom is still going strong and a few nice halibut have been landed inside the bay on the return trip.

Thanks.
