Anglers reported good to excellent action on both lakes with jigs, lures, night crawlers and Power Bait ( especially Spring Green, Chartreuse, Red-White & Blue, and Salmon Peach) all catching limits. Most trout caught were near or over 2 pounds with many over 3 pounds. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern logged shore and the western shore particularly near the pump house of lake 3 as well as the south eastern, northern and western shores of lake 2.

Catches of the Week:

James Engleman of Hesperia caught a 3 lbs 15 oz rainbow on Red,White and Blue Power Bait near the grassy point of lake 3. Redlands angler, James Scoggins reeled in a nice 3 lbs 6 oz trout using Lemon Twist Power Bait while fishing the northern shore of lake 3. Clayton Siddens of Apple Valley caught his 4 lbs 12 oz rainbow on an orange Roostertail near the pump house of lake 3. Victorville angler, Myke Carlton caught a 3 lbs 15 oz rainbow on a Power Mouse while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Joseph Jaramillo of West Covina caught his 3 lbs 12 oz trout on Spring Green Power Bait from the northeastern shore of lake 3. Bill Adams of Hesperia reeled in a 3 lbs 15 oz rainbow from the northern shore of lake 2 near the bridge using a crappie jig. Leon Long of Rialto caught his 3 lbs trout on chartreuse Power bait while fishing from the southeastern shore of lake 2. Glendora angler, Tony Martinez scored 5 lbs 1 oz and 3 lbs 7 ozs rainbows on Sherbet Power Bait from the logged eastern shore of lake 3. Gil Rowe of Victorville caught his 3 lbs 8 oz and 3 lbs rainbows using a white crappie jig while fishing the north shore of lake 3. Ricky Hunnicutt of Victorville reeled in a nice 4 lbs 8 oz rainbow using an orange Kastmaster from the north shore of lake 3. Apple Valley angler, George Frazier reeled in a 3 lbs trout on a Power Worm while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Merv Shandor of Victorville caught a 4 lbs 5 oz rainbow on Spring Green Power Bait near the inlets of lake 2. Nine year old Bloomington angler, Anthony Graham caught 4 lbs 1 oz and 3 lbs 3 ozs rainbows from the northern shore of lake 2 using a crappie jig. Team Phoenix anglers, Bob Barr and Craig Adkinson scored 4 lbs 8 oz and 4 lbs 3 ozs rainbows while fishing the eastern shore of lake 3. Barr used a night crawler and Adkinson used an orange jig. San Dimas angler, Brian Romero caught his 5 lbs 14 ozs rainbow using a night crawler while fishing near the the bridge of lake 2. Steve Brittain of Victorville caught a 5 lbs 3 oz rainbow with a Needle fish Lure while fishing the eastern shore of lake 3. Ty Jensen caught is 3 lbs 6 ozs trout on a white Power Worm near the wall on the the eastern shore of lake 2. Tony Covarrubias of Al Hambra reeled in a 3 lbs 13 oz rainbow using a Power Mouse from the the logged eastern shore of lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round. This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
