Shore Fishing is Improving

9-13-2019
Mountain Hardware & Sports

Shore fishing at Donner has been improving as cold nights cool off the surface temperatures making trout more active. Mackinaw are also starting to make their way into the shallows to stage for their winter spawn. Shore anglers can catch these fish on a variety of baits as well as large spoons in sliver. Trollers are still finding some of this year’s kokanee as they tend to spawn a little later here than other lakes. The mackinaw bite for Trollers improves as well and should only get better as fall progresses. 84% Of Cap.
