Fish Report for 8-16-2019

Once in a great while things on the whole just don’t go our way. Today was one of those rare occasions. For whatever reason, in an ocean full of fish, we could not find a school that would settle in and bite. There were plenty around that did. As a whole the fleet did well. It was just our day in the barrel. Like I said it doesn’t happen often. But such outings are a mathematical certainty if one comes out here enough.
Far from a bust we scratched together a day on the nice quality local yellowfin and mixed in a handful plus of blues. On our way in now for a quick turn and out again tomorrow for seven. Final trip photo features Royal Star angler Jim Fatseas with a nice yellowfin all smiles.
